I couldn't find anything on this through the search or through Google...

The "Traffic Information" option is grayed out and can't be accessed in my '05 R53. Is there a subscription or something else required to activate this? We're headed from Saint Paul to San Francisco for the Magical Mystery Mini Tour in September, and I thought it might be helpful to have this info for construction detours, traffic jams, etc.

While BMW offered traffic info in Europe earlier (which probably accounts for the option you see), in the US they began offering it only in 2007, so I'm not sure you will be able to get it for an '05, though if you are able to get it working I'd love to find out how.

By the way, where is it you see the grayed out "Traffic Information" option?
