Anyone else have this problem? I notice that when its VERY hot out, like over 85 degrees and I have the HK system turned all the way up, the HK will lower the volume by itself drastically. Then sometimes it will go back up. When its cool out, this doesnt happen. Is the amp maybe getting hot and clipping? Was hoping some of you audio buffs have an idea about it... I cant take it to the dealer as I am sure I cannot get it to replicate.

Something is up for you, sorry to hear about it.
see http://www.fredsoundofmusic.com/newsletter1.html
Too much or too little power- not good on speakers and

effects of heat -bad stuff.
Here's a discussed about the same sort of amp turning off or down-

I guess you could look at the cooling fins on the amp and make sure that nothing is hindering the cooling of the amp.
85 degress is not that hot compared to summer weather throughout the country. If you park out in the sun and try out the stereo in the midday and it comes down with the problem then it is reproducible and you can take it to the dealer.
If you park in covered areas and the problem never happens at night or under normal use then it sounds like a heat problem with the amp. How about changing fuses?
