Will this SIRIUS package work?

Check the link.

http://www.tss-radio.com/kbmwsirv2-b...ge-p-5715.html

This Combination of the Soundgate "SIRIUS to BMW" KBMWSIR Vehicle Interface will allow specific BMW Models to allow AND control SIRIUS using the BMW's OEM (factory) radio controls.

$210. This would be sweet!

yea no doubt ...any control module(i.e. sirus or xm or what ever company u wana use) will be compatable...i mean come on we put one of these things in my buddys 87 volovo wagon(real POS might i add ). i personaly have an xm module that sits next to my left knee. All this is is an auxilary that you can use in place of your cd changer or ipod(if you got the aux package) or u can just have an aux plug installed and jsut run the wire to the aux socket in the device

Did you click the link?

This is not for the aux plug.

This has the brain and the adapter to hook up to the CD changer outlet. The reason why I posted it is because it's a lot less than the MINI option.

yea i clicked it, it says for 02-06. The thing you have to remember is that this will not be the same exact model as the factory option. MINI gets these for whole sale from the company then installs them on the assembly line, os naturally there is labor costs to be had and also the mark up that they as a retailer has to put on the product. That and come on, its BMW, all there crap is expensive.

But getting back to the aux issue, you are running this unit through your OEM interface but its run by the cd changer, which is an aux connection anyways, so in short it should work.

P.S. ALL BMW CRAP IS EXPENSIVE, so naturally factory option are just ridiculously expensive

should be the same radio, but i have not had experience with the cooper sound system, but i'd imagine that its the same interface regardless if its a cooper or the MCS....the easiest way would be call the company and ask, and if they say yes then i'd try. And if it doesnt work you can return it and ask for a full refund
