Using 2007.2 version Navi DVD in a 2004?
I have an 04 dvd based navi system... now.. if i used the new 2007.2 version in my car.. is there a chance my navigation could be messed up for good if its not compatible?
i dont wanna spend 200$ for a broken navigation. =\

If you're using a Navteq 2007.2 that has been shown good in another vehicle and it's not working in yours, then odds are you have an issue. Your statements are relatively cryptic, so it's tough to divine what the issue might be. i.e. what does 'not compatible' mean? How does this incompatability manifest itself?
mrgentleminh - as long as your 2004 Nav system is DVD-based and not CD-based, the new map disc will work fine, provided you buy the "High" version, which is the map format used by the 1st Gen MINIs. The 2nd Gen MINIs (R56, R55, etc.) use the "Professional" version of the Navteq discs.
One thing worth checking - go to your Settings screen and let us know what version shows up. For example, 3-1/63 or 4/1-80... The version number you see will tell us a lot about what you have now, and what upgrades are available.

Hey guys, I have version SW 4-1/70. What upgrades are available for me? I know my system is DVD based, but is it "High" version or "Professional" version? Finally, does anyone know if BMW discs will work in Minis or do I need Mini specific discs?
