So if I order the factory mount for the R56 (or R55) I can then purchase a Garmin 350-360-370. Does that mean that it is powered by the unit when attached or by the battry when carried separately? Does this unit have the ability to pick POI or is there a way to download teh same? All help appreciated in that my wife just got her MCS and my Clubman S is in the dealer waiting for me.

I just ordered the factory mount this week to use with my nuvi 360. It is powered when attached. It has a fairly large POI database and I believe you can download more. I'm planning to install it myself.

...my ponit of view!

Hello America!!!

This is my personal point of view of GPS bracket:

I am waiting for a "L" shape mini-usb connector.
i don't know if this could help but with only 15cm x 3cm of aluminum i made this special bracket...it require just 10 min for installation.

cheers

How do you attach the bracket? Do you have a drawing or pic of the bracket?

Very cool mod IMO.

Can anyone direct me to how this is done and where can I get a "Switch Interruptor"

EDIT - FOUND IT!! http://www.newministuff.com/new/shop...uctshow&id=574
