Navigation & Audio Antenna Jack for R53 Boost Radio
Antenna Jack for R53 Boost Radio
Simple inquiry here -- does the Boost radio in the R53 connect to the antenna cable with a standard Motorola antenna jack/plug? (Don't think it matters, but if it does, the inquiry specifially concerns an HK unit, text capable, with production date of 02/05.)
Thanks.
Thanks.
Hi Speed,
Sorry that I didn't catch this thread as I had my radio (same model, HK) out last week... I'm pretty sure that it's the VW style antenna connection which goes in back, not the traditional Motorola style.

Thanks, John --
Was thinking of running an AM/FM/CB antenna cable splitter so I can enjoy a bit greater receiving range on one of those portable CBs for traffic reports during occasional long-distance trips. The only splitters I can find have the standard motorola jacks, so I guess I'm out of luck.
Was hoping to avoid a second antenna -- just one more thing to fool with -- guess I'll have to resort to one of those small magnetic mounts on the roof during the trips.
Thanks again for the information. John.
