What or where rather do the brown wires hook up to? Is that to control the steering remote? Or are they nothing to worry about.
I did try searching but alas, not many dive in on their own or love their H/K systems. Thank you for any help.

 

there should be a diagram on the bag it came in. I used one...not all wires are used.

 

mines not exactly a metra but is identical... no paper work. That does help me that there are a few wires that won't be used. Thank you.
Now if I can get the factory radio out I'm set

 

Ok I have another really dumb question.
Has there been anyone that had altered their harness to turn on the H/K amp? I saw a pic of the enabler and there is a few extra wires to some sort of circuit. I am not really liking the 102 pound h/k enabler (shipped) and I'm not in the mood for a complete rewire. I'm sure this has been a dead horse, I have searched but haven't found anything real DIY.
