MP3 Disc info

Does anyone know what kind of tolerance the HiFi cd reader has for MP3 discs? (Which bitrates are allowed, constant or variable, and whether or not it likes wma's also?).

Thanks,

I would imagine that as long as it fits on the cd, it will play it. I know it won't play aac or wma. I tested that the other day.

I'm surprised that mini can call their "hifi system" a hifi system... high fidelity isn't what you'd normally get out of a system in the mini's, upgrade or no upgrade, :-p.

I've played bitrates from 128 to 320 fine. Haven't tried anything outside that.

Is there a simpler way to navigate the folders on the MP3 CD?

navigation system. lol. sorry :-p, for the sarcasm.

I don't know honestly... but I imagine it's going to be difficult on anything with such a small screen.

And i *think* it has to do, with the creation of the mp3 disc, the arrangement of folders, and such.

Here is how you navigate throught the folders and files on an MP3 CD:

Hit the LIST button and the 2-line display shows the current song/file and the next song/file. You will also notice an UP arrow (towards right end of the display)

If you press the button corresponding to the UP arrow, the display switches to folder view (list of folders with '+' mark). You can scroll through the folders and select the desired folder.

Once the folder is selected, you will be back to track/file list. Scroll through the list and select the song.
