Aftermarket sat nav in center gauge

Hi all,

I'm looking to get a MCS soon. As I have always loved integrated multimedia in cars, though it must look stock. I was wondering if I would be able to Fit an aftermarket Double Din Sat Nav into the center Guage? Would it be too big? The reason why I want to do this is because MCS in Australia hardly comes with sat nav and climate control, let alone either one.

I really want a screen in the car, but I don't want it to look out of place, neither do I want a flip out screen. I want it to look as stock as possible. Please advice me on any aftermarket sat nav systems if this idea is feasible, the one I'm lookin at at the moment is a pioneer avid HD3. http://www.cnet.com.au/pdas/gps/0,23...9277688,00.htm

Thank you!

Based on what I've seen in my 03 MCS (with Factory Nav), I'd say no.

The factory nav screen is only about 2.5 inches thick/deep. So there's no room for a standard Double DIN to fit behind it. It mounts snug against a large rounded metal chunk that doesn't move.

Just no depth back there to play with.
