Has anyone tried to put an amp/amps under the rear seat? No one can sit in theses seats, and I desperatly need amp space... Thoughts, comments? Thanks

 

there's no space under there... go ahead and see for yourself. just grab the bottom of the seat where it meets the carpet from each corner and yank it up.

 

Hmm... seat pulls up easy... pad is about 4" thick (guessing) .... What is with the black circular piece of sheet metal? Is that to get to the fuel pump? Ok, what if I took out the foam, so the seat was just leather on top ?

 

Have you already used the space under the front seats? If you pull the seat you'll find that there is about 2-3 inches of foam pad under the carpet where you can mount an amp between the frame rails for the seat.

Greg, hey, thanks... as they say a picture is worth 1,000 words ! Yeah, that helps, but I just solved my amp placement problem... I returned my big 5 CH amp for 2 small amps... and 1 fits under the drivers seat with ease (just now tried it!) ... I will probably just put them in the corners in the back, as they fit great (widest part of the amps) between the blue tie downs.... so I am in good shape now ... But I am still curious what the black circles are under the back seats???
