R56 mp3 player "pause" feature...

so this might have already been discussed, although i cannot find it anywhere...

anywho.. i have several mp3 cd's some of long length sets .. 60-90 min...
whenever i begin playing a track (let's day 60 min long..) I get through about 25 min.

IF I turn the car off. (pull key out) the spot at which i last listened cannot be restored. ( have to start the track over...)

IF stop the engine and wait for the gas gauge lights to cascade down then pull the key out.. about 50% of the time the track will still be at 25min...

wtf
any info????

If the radio/MINI is off for ~15 minutes the track will start over again. Otherwise it starts from where you left off.

A bit annoying if you have long tracks or book on cd.

There's a thread on this on mini2.com with mini's work around -- look for ipod track restarts.
