I tried looking under it last night after taking off my passenger seat, but it wouldnt come up all the way. All i could see was styrofoam and some loose wires

FS, do you have DSC? not sure that's it but it's a possibility?

It's present on MINIs without NAV.
I'm starting to think DSC might have something to do with it.

ok now eveyrbody check. Let us know if you have/haven't DSC and/or the box!

me=no dsc/no box

i took out the styrofoam when I put in my sub. I didnt take out the seat though so here are the best shots i got.

Familiar,
Did you have to cut out the styrophome, or does it just come out....? You can work under the seat without removing it?

no cutting. Its still in one piece on my "stock parts" shelf. and I have long skinny fingers so I can for the most part work under there w/o removing the seat. To take the cover off to get to the styrofoam though you must remove the seat. and dont unplug the yellow wire when the battery is still connected. you will end up like me w/ a constant warning taht the passenger restraint system has failed
