Fall Fun Run to Foglight Foodhouse
Yeah, my bad. I'm trying to figure out to re-size the photos so they fit properly on the web page.

EDITED PHOTOS TO TO KEEP GOOFY WHINERS QUIET.

As much as I enjoy everyone's company, I'm afraid that I will not be able to make it on Saturday. I'll check in with Steve on occasion and see how the trip is going. BTW - I saw a beautiful dark blue S today but s/he must have been under the weather. The go faster stripes just weren't working ... I was wishing I had Dawn's number so I could text her
Steve and I are in for Bell Witch Cave - as of now Halloween weekend is open. Assuming we are taking the holidays off, Steve and I would be happy to host the January run on the west side of town. He promises not to take you on his bike runs, as they won't be fast enough for the Minis
. As a change of pace, we'd be happy to have everyone over the house for dinner that night. It will be low key, as I'll be out with the crowd as well. Gotta love a crockpot

Sorry to hear that you won't be able to make it out for the run. . .your company will be missed. I'll PM you my number so next time you're having a "i wish I could text Dawn" moment you'll have the means.

Gotta love a crockpot That sounds like a great idea! Maybe we could do a pot luck dinner. If we meet at your house prior to the run we can just drop off the eats (so they don't get sloshed around in the boot), motor a bit, and come back to chow down. I have lots of good pot luck recipes, too!
Hey guys,
Looks like I am going. Still waiting on insurance stuff so I still have my slightly crippled MINI. It drives fine, just bent up a little on the front corner. Just to make sure I have things right, we are meeting at Moe's in Murfreesboro @ 11 AM right? What are we doing about lunch, eating there or brining something to eat at the picnic area at the falls?
See you all Saturday!

Great to hear you can make it Kevin!
The plan is to have a picnic lunch at Fall Creek Falls. I guess you could pick up something at Moe's or Jason's deli which is right around the corner. Or bring something with you. The BP station on the other side of McMinnville has a deli/pizza place of sorts also.
We're planning on leaving at 11, you might want to get there a little bit early, say 10:30, 10:45.

Too bad you won't be able to join us. Maybe next time. . .
Thanks to everyone for making a couple of newbies feel very much at home today.
Hal, the run was GREAT.... great route...and if we could have just given a certain teenager a booster of Mini-energy, it would have been totally picture perfect.
Gina and I are already looking forward to the next big event....

I second that!
That was a super fun run today. The weather was perfect and the company was great! It was nice meeting our "newbies", Rodney, Gina, and all the way from AL, Kevin. Always nice to put a face with the name. And of course, it was great seeing everyone else again, too.
Say Steve. . .how'd ya like that view of my new spoiler on the way home?
Wanted to make sure you got a good look at it that's way I had to pass you . . . twice.
IN A JUSTA!

All in favor, say I. That was truly a Fall Fun Run. Excellent road picks. I am not sure that I can beat that combination over here, west of Nashville. The pace was good as well. As you know Hal, I don't really care about the destinations and scenic stuff, but if that's what it takes to have a great day like that, LET'S DO IT AGAIN! Most excellent, meeting the new folks, Rodney, Gina and Kevin. I look forward to seeing you guys again.
Well that's why I wanted to LET you pass me . . . twice. Seriously, you picked up the pace quite nicely when we hit the freeway. Me likes.
I run that route from Cookeville to 840 eight times a month so I'm pretty familiar with where the troopers sit. Anytime you see those wire guardrails along the medians it's safe to put the pedal down a little more. Troopers don't like to sit on the right side of the roads and the guardrails keep them out of them medians. You do have to watch the overpasses though, they will sit on the on ramps and tag you from there.
Besides, if I had gotten pulled over I was just going to say it was one of those other red MINIS. . .

It was great to meet all of you and I had a great time on the roads. Especially the roads on the way to the restaurant, fun to drive and beautiful scenery. The falls areas were impressive even if a little dry (except the last one).
I learned a lot too. I already found a few ethonol free gas stations I knew nothing about at http://pure-gas.org. And who knew you could change a spoiler out in the middle of the woods in minutes! And Dawn didn't waist any time getting that spoiler on her sig!!
And the three Chilis were together till almost the end and made good time back to Nashville too!

I'd like to thank you all for coming out to our drive this weekend. Seems like all had a great time. I know Deb and I did.
Looking ahead to next year I may do this in October instead. That way we may get to see some fall colors. I may also change where we have lunch and supper at. I'm thinking of going to Cumberland Caverns for our lunch stop. We'll check out some time in the next year to see what the facilities are like. I may also change the route between Murfreesboro and McMinnville to make it a bit more interesting. I'll still include SR30; might even go past Fall Creek Falls and go on toward Dayton. I'll have to see what's in that area. I'll keep you all posted.
Or maybe make a drive in the area around Lynchburg and include going to the Barbeque Championship?
So what's on for next month?

Video Added
I've been busy at work and just got time to do something with the video I took on the run. Full day squeezed into 10 minutes! Almost forgot how beautiful scenery there was until you go full screen 720p.
