Well, I had to head home early (and show up late, hehe), but I did get to spend all day Friday there, met some people I've wanted to! Mark looks different that what I pictured him as. I have a pic, but I won't post it without his permission.

The Cabrio showed up, sounds like Mini is taking the Dragon more seriously!

No Mini accidents that I know of, 2minis spun out his Classic twice I hear, and someone else spun a new one. The dragon was pretty wet on my way home today, so I couldn't push it hard for my last blast. But oh well!

The party cabin with Ryan, The Chad, Phil, Phil and Jeff was a blast... and Steve (Minizila) and I were competing as to who was the most chauvanist of all the guys there, lol... I was being bad on friday night.

All around good time, ya'll can use this thread to post your experiences!

I got stung by a bee on the forehead doing 85 mph on I-75 in Kentucky today, still have a headache from it. Glad it was a honeybee and not a bloody yellowjacket!

Lets hope everyone is still safe! I will miss having a "sperm" on my antenna. Next year I'll be there for the whole time... these exams just came at the worst time!

Left this morning, got back to Nashville around 2pm.... was a blast....

easily twice the people as last year, and I managed to show up on time for all the events I wanted to this time around....

no major accidents that I heard of, the only one I know of being on the Midnight Run last night where a new S running aproximately 10mph slid off the road while trying to avoid hitting a deer and tapped a tree.... driver is fine, car is damaged but driveable, the worst damage was that to the leg of someone running to assist the wrecked car who slipped in her flip flops and tore her leg open. I hope everyone recovers, the car gets put back in order soon, and that the deer learn to avoid the dragon while MINI's a running....

Cometgirl was the casualty. They had to drive to the hospital at Murphy,
NC, to get it stitched up and got back around 5:30 AM. She will be unable
to bend it for a few weeks but should be fine.

It was a wonderful get-together.

I can't wait until next year....might just have to run up there again a few times before then!

Even with the all the rain, The Dragon was great! Even had to get a sticker for Rita. Getting to meet so many Miniacs was fun. The only problem with MINIs that I have found so far is the waiting! Wait to get one and now, I have to wait another year for the next Dragon Run!

too bad I didn't know the cabrio was coming, or I would have stopped at the novelty store and bought some of the fake window "cracks" to place on it.... and then see how Jeff reacted....

A great looking car, unfortunate color though....

By much request here are the photos I took from the Dragon. I have to say the whole trip was a blast. Well worth the many hours in the car to get there!

Anyway, here are some of my photos from this past weekend's events. I was one of the guys on the turns taking photos during the Dragon Parade. I'd especially like to thank everyone for NOT running me over!

Can't wait until next year!

We had a great time also. Many thanks to all of you who put in time and effort in making this come together. We'll definitely be back. We enjoyed meeting many of you and a special thanks to LILKRZR for letting me drive the pully/computer/Borla combo. We especially enjoyed the comments from the lady at the desk at Fontana Village who said we are much livelier and colorful than the Miata gang! Let's make it even more of a "parade" next time. Maybe add an "over the top" graphics award.

I hope everyone had as good of a time as I had this weekend. The Dragon lives up to its reputation once again. It was great meeting everyone. Mark, Ryan, Dennis, Clover, Lance, Eric from Helix and everyone too numerous to mention individually I really enjoyed driving and partying with you. My best friend was my co-pilot this trip. He is now "bit" with the I want a MINI bug.

So, how about a late summer or early fall Dragon run?

My wife was in the Element, she also had a great time.

Hope to see many of you again in the near (early fall or late summer) future.

I was hoping to see M7, Trippy and Andy but alas I understand, its a long drive. Hope to see you guys next time, in the late summer or early fall.

What a Blast...

It was great meeting everyone and finding out just how amazing our cars really are.

Now that I'm back in Orlando, I just need to remember how to drive normally... instead of just ON or OFF

It was a blast again this year!

Thanks to Mark for getting the CAbrio there, since I already have my money down on one it was nice to see it in person and go, "Oh yea, it will be mine".

Good to see you again Ryan and sorry I missed the party cabin this year. There was almost too much going on this time.

Thanks to ATL MINIs for the welcome dinner. I had two door prize tickets and won two items. Can't beat that with a stick!

Can't wait to do it again!

What a great time! The Dragon was awesome. But what I found better than the Dragon were the people. You guys and gals are some of the best people I have ever met. Everyone I met were having the time of their lives'. Ryan, Dennis, Ric, Chad, Cooper, Erik, all of the ATLMINIs, man the list goes on and on.

Thanks again for everyone who organized this event. Can't wait for next year!

Scott

"Blast" doesn't even begin to describe what it was like for me! Is it possible to have too much fun? If so, I experienced it. Too much fun. And I can't wait to do it again!

You guys 'n' gals are awesome. The Party House Krew, yer the best. Everyone I met with and talked to, no matter where they are from, their backgrounds, etc, we all share owning a MINI and the obvious fun factor which revolves around it. Miles and miles of smiles. Wonderful people everywhere.

The runs on the Dragon! I then began an attempt to 'name' some of the runs I took. The World's Fastest Parade, Dragon Sweat: The Run In The Rain, Whine and Dine, Awaken the Dragon, and on the way out on Sunday in the rain, Dragon's Tears: Farewell.

I can't begin to thank everyone enough for the good times I had. Finally getting to meet so many of the kool people I see day-to-day online here at NAM was like meeting an extended family. I find the neat thing is that everyone comes across in person just as they do on here. Personalities can even be text-based. Little did I know that buying a peculiar little car would be joining an extended family. I am glad I did both.

I am slowly going over the pictures I took and will post some of the better ones. It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words; sometimes, however, you just had to be there. Pictures can't do some things justice.

Big bear hugs to all of yas, I can't wait till next year to do it again!

(I promise to wash my car this time!)
