2003 MINI Copper S $7000 54k miles!
Hello, and thanks for looking at my post.
I have a 2003 Mini Cooper S with just over 50k miles. The only reason I'm selling this awesome car is because I just started a job (environmental work) that basically requires a truck. I didn't want to get this car too dirty from hauling giant pieces of rusty metal or contaminated equipment. Anyways, this car has been a blast to drive with its supercharged engine and its light weight, not to mention how great it looks with a fresh wash.
One point I would like to make is how well it has been maintained since I've owed it. I got the car when it had just hit 28k miles and the age of the car was starting to show. One thing about any modern car is the fact the rubber will deteriorate aver time and my wallet definitely felt how much I had to invest in the car to get it running in perfect condition. In case your curious, I'll list the things I've replaced for the car. (which means you'll likely never have to worry about them)
1. Power Steering - Return Hose, Pump, Suction Hose, Reservoir, and 2 Hose Clamps
2. Lower Mount - Engine Mount and Bracket
3. Strut/Strut Mount - Strut Mount, Strut Assembly(2x) Strut Bump Stop
4. Control Arm Bushing
5. Brake Fluid Flush
6. Coolant Flush
7. Cabin Filter Replacement
8. Valve Cover Gasket Replacement
9. Oil Pan Gasket Replacement
10. Oil Filter Stand Gasket Replacement
11. Alternator Replacement
12. Drive Belt Replacement
13. Inner CV Boot Replacement
14. ATI Super Damper (Crank Pully, or Harmonic Balancer)
15. I also just put on new Michelin tires rated for 100k miles about 3k ago.
All of these repairs were done by Sport Motoring in Decatur which was the best and highest rated place I found near me. They are Mini specialists and definitely know what they're doing. Also, I've done oil changes at least every 5k miles and most were done at that same shop. All the repairs above cost me more than $4k, and I will be losing a bunch when I sell it, but it has to be done for my job. Please let me know if you have any questions and if you would like to see the documentation of the replacements I've done on the Mini, let me know and I'll send them your way.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading, and if you're interested in a great car that's fun to drive and came from good car owner, you found the right car!
