Aside from a couple warranty items (detailed below) done at the dealership and the couple times I replaced the brake pads, all mechanical work has been performed by Grant Randall and his team at Alexandria Bavarian Service. His shop specializes in BMW and MINI service.
The Good:
- Supercharged 4-cylinder engine - 168 horsepower
- 6-speed manual transmission
- Cold Weather Package (heated seats, mirrors and washer jets)
- Premium Package (steering wheel radio controls, chrome trim, a/c)
- Sport Package (17" wheels, Xenon headlights, dynamic stability control)
- Limited Slip Differential
- Harmon Kardon stereo and speakers
- White mirror caps (this wasn't an option at the time for cabrios - OEM parts installed post purchase)
- Non-smoking owners
- Up-to-date on all preventative maintenance (receipts for all work)
- Tires with low miles (under 3,500)
- Oil and brake fluid just changed this week, along with new safety inspection
The Bad:
- A few dents and dings - photos below
- Tear in driver's seat fabric - photo below
- Weather stripping around fabric top cracking - photo below - No leaks caused
- One accident: HS student (my wife was a teacher) clipped the front end in a parking lot. I replaced the front bumper cover, but hood is slightly misaligned, and there is still a chip in the chrome grill. Photos below.
- Wheels are all curbed to some degree
- Two dents since the riverside photos were taken (one behind the drivers door and one near the gas cap). Pics are included below.
History of Major Service:
- Replace clutch throw-out bearing - done under warranty at dealership - 40,000 miles
- Replace passenger airbag deactivation sensor (for children) - done under warranty at dealership - 40,000 miles
- Replace thermostat and housing, engine cooling fan, and crankshaft sensor o-ring - 53,000 miles
- Replace power steering cooling fan and valve cover gasket - 67,300 miles
- New tires - 78,100 miles

Good luck on your sale
One owner, stock, purchased new as a special order from MINI of Sterling in March 2007. We love this car. The only reason we're selling is that we have a small child now, and we have three cars. Makes sense to sell the smallest one.
