Deciding whether to Carmax or sell my 6 MT 2008 MINI Cooper S. I'm the original owner. The car has two modifications: BBS LMs and Cross coilovers. These were both done in the first 1,000 miles. It has never had any other modifications. It's Chili Red with a white top. No sunroof. I ordered it as a low option car and spent money on the wheels and coils. It has xenons, heated seats, anthracite headliner, center arm rest. I think that's it for the options.
The oil has been changed every 5,000 miles since new. When I did it, I used Mobil One 0-40. The other times it was done at the dealer or MINI Corsa.
Except for maybe two times as part of a service later in its life, I washed the car myself with Prima products.
It has never been in an accident.
It has never been tracked or autocrossed.
I can't even say that it's ever been flogged and it's never been driven even remotely hard when it's cold.
Until the last 2 years, it spent almost every day and night in a garage.
The wheels have no curb rash. The LMs were purchased from and installed at Wheel Enhancement.
The Cross coilovers were purchased from Jan and installed by Danny at MINI Corsa. There is a clicking/binding sound when turning at low speeds. Danny says it is not a problem.

When I took it to MINI of Camarillo for an oil service in March, the following were recommended and/or noted:
brake fluid flush
microfilter replacement
rear brake inspection
turbo oil feed line leaking
valve cover gasket leaking

I haven't been to Carmax yet to see what they'll give me. I'd probably take off the wheels and coils before selling it to them, so I wanted to see what, if any interest, there was here for the car as is.
