2006 Mini Cooper S JCW GP Edition is a very rare Edition finished in Thunder Blue with a black leather and grey cloth interior. The car is in excellent condition and has approximately 38,000 miles. This car is GP Number 137 out of 2000 produced worldwide. It is believed that only 415 were actually imported into the United States. Up until 2006, the GP Edition Minis were the fastest production Minis ever made. The GP had a revised Eaton Blower, a less restrictive intercooler, recalibrated engine management, high volume injector nozzles and a freer-flowing exhaust system. The various factory modifications bump the power output to 215 horsepower at 7100 rpm. 0 to 60 times is improved 0.5 second faster than the John Cooper Works Mini Cooper S with a time of 5.9 seconds. Top speed is 145 mph. Specific spring, shock, and anti-roll-bar calibrations, model specific 18 wheels and tires, and aluminum rear trailing arm links greatly improves the handling. In testing, the Mini pulled .90g on the skid-pad, a Mini record. The Mini John Cooper Works GP Edition was priced $9,700 above the Mini Cooper S. This car is fitted with heated seats and the headliner in anthracite. Fitted with a unique color combination, a very large rear wing, body kit, exclusive graphics, carbon fiber trim and the lack of a rear seat set this car apart from every other Mini. Minis goal was to make a great performing, special, exclusive car. This car is certainly identifiable as an exclusive collectible.
