**SOLD**: 2003 Modified EB/W MINI Cooper S

Year: 2003
Make: MINI
Model: Hardtop
Price: $4700
Mileage: 150865
Color: Electric Blue
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (Region): West

For sale is my electric blue 2003 MINI Cooper S. I have owned and enjoyed this car for about 4 years and am selling it to make room for a new MINI. It has 150,xxx miles on it (and counting) and has a bunch of upgrades and has lots of new parts; I have most of the parts and service receipts that I held onto throughout my ownership of the MINI. It is not perfect and has some minor dents/scratches but is in great shape for it's age and mileage. This is a non-smoker MINI.

Upgrades/Modifications:
- Helix 15% supercharger pulley
- Siemens 450cc fuel injectors
- RMW street tune
- Brisk DOR14LGS-T silver center electrode spark plugs
- Nology HotWires spark plug wires
- Screamin' Demon ignition coil pack
- Invidia exhaust with deleted mid-pipe resonator
- Alta intercooler air diverter with intercooler sprayer
- Alta cold air intake with Green filter
- Alta short shift kit
- Detroit Tuned bypass valve
- Dinan front strut tower brace
- BC Racing coilovers with Swift springs
- 22mm adjustable rear sway bar
- 2-row Aluminum radiator
- Prothane rear sway bar bushings
- Powerflex urethane front wishbone rear bushings
- Powerflex urethane rear trailing arm front bushings
- Front and rear aero bumpers
- Front aero grill
- Konig Roller 17x7.5 et35 rims with 205/40/17 tires
- Prosport boost and oil pressure gauges
- Alpine head unit with iPod hookup in glovebox
- Infinity front speakers
- BOSS Bass1500 low profile amplified subwoofer
- Glovebox organizer
- Deleted rear wiper
- 4x Hella 500FF driving lights mounted on reinforced PIAA factory-style brackets
- External on-board computer button retrofit
- Auto-up window controller
- 20% window tint on rear and side windows
- Clear tail lights
- 3-spoke steering wheel
- Painted color-matched 5-piece dash
- Painted color-matched flares and side skirts
- John Cooper Works front floor mats
- Floorboard and interior sheet metal lined with RAAMmat BXT II sound deadening mat
- Hardwired mini-USB connection up to a KUDA GPS mount for a Garmin GPS
- Front and rear brake calipers painted orange

The Bad:
- The MINI developed some tight steering and a slight clicking noise on acceleration/deceleration. I took it into a shop to get the issue inspected and to get the whole car looked over prior to selling it; shop says that the steering rack is on its way out and that the serpentine belt tensioner is showing signs of wear. Despite this, the MINI still drives and handles very well.
- Passenger side rear tire has a slow air leak (at a rate of about 2 psi a week). Had a shop re-mount and balance the tire, but it still leaks air at the same rate as before.
- The coilover adjustment perches are stuck on a couple of the coilovers; maybe a shop will be able to loosen up and lubricate the perches.
- On occasion (5%-10% of the time), after turning off the MINI after it has been driven for a while and is still hot, if starting it up soon afterwards, it chatters a little as if the timing chain tensioner piston doesn't fully engage. Immediately turning the MINI off and then back on normally makes everything okay. It's been doing this every so often for the past couple years after the cylinder head was replaced, and it hasn't caused any obvious performance or driveability issues.

I am selling my MINI for $4,900 O.B.O., cash only. I am located in Colorado Springs, CO. I have the clean title in hand. If interested, please PM me or give me a call at six-one-zero-762-two-seven-two-seven. The photos really don't do this MINI justice; it is best to see for yourself how fantastic, beautiful, and fun this little car is.

For additional photos, check out my craigslist ad, PM me, or give me a call.

What's the big red button by the mirrors? Is that for the lights?

Thanks! The big red button by the mirror adjustment switch is hooked up to the intercooler sprayer. The other red button mounted on the inside of the left downtube is for controlling the on-board computer. The button for the Hella driving lights is mounted on the driver side knee bolster to the left of the steering wheel.

Too bad you are West, this looks like a great deal even with the few issues it has.
