After a three month search we finally found and bought another MINI to replace our 2002 MCS which was sold last summer. We drove the new R56. Eventhough the drive train is incredible, the new front and the interior did not do it for us. I chased around a couple of GPs around the country with no luck. In the meantime, I found the 05+ MCS which had all the specific options that we were looking for. It had to be an 05+, electric blue with white top and heated seats. Well I had to fly out to Chicago to pick one up. My wife had no idea, she thought I was in St. Louis visiting family. Just got back to Denver an hour ago. she could not be happier with her new car. It was so nice to be reunited with a r53 again. We look forward to the next 5280 event. here is a pic.

thanks for the warm reception. Now come the mods. I would like to take the car back to the level of our beloved old 2002. 15%+CAI+exhaust, sway bars and brake pads. I used to have the borla sport on the old car. It was a fine exhaust but I think something a tiny bit raspier would be better and more fun. who here has milltek or dinan systems? I would like to check out your cars to get an idea. let me know please.

I was looking into the Dinan kit as well, but after talking to the MINI tech i wont do it...they were telling me that they were having a lot of problems with the throttle body, and the computer programing. The car keeps throwing up the check engine light. How did the Borla Sport preform? I'm looking at either that or the JCW...
