This thread needs a bump....

We had 4 MINIs up at JBH today for lunch. Cpayne, 03indigo, Vince (MR MINI) and myself. PWB, IB/W, BRG/W and DS/W. I appeared to be the only very dirty MINI.

I may have been set up. 03 carries around a bag of tokens for the car-washes.

Coming out of my front door this morning I saw a RDB MCc. Oh wait, that is my Road Dirt Brown (with CR somewhere underneath) MINI.
I did toss a big wave at a DS/B MCS the other day heading east on Dry Creek at University. Even got a nice big wave back.

Nice picture, you really should put up some pics of your CF and your steering wheel.

Perhaps we should do a post your 5280 MINI thread here?

I do like RDB, mine is RDG, but not for long if Thursday is like today.

Click on the link in my signature, there are pics of the new wheel and some carbon fiber shots in there somewhere, just need to look back a few posts from the end

I think Mark is working on a type of vbGarage for the forum, not specific to our region, but still, there will be a place for it in the near future. At least that is my understanding.

Sorry I missed you guys today. One of these days, though Friday probably won't work either. Got to work and they're talking snow.

I had a freaky experience getting out of work today. I park in the SH-36 & Sheridan parking garage and getting off the bus I see my car, but it's in a different spot than where I put it this morning . As I got closer to it, I saw mine where I parked it (thank the almighty lord above), and this one was damn close to identical. MCSC, PW, no stripes, even had the chrono pack. This is the first one I've seen besides mine and it was parked 20' away. I have parked in this garage for over 3 years and have never seen it before. The only difference was this one's blue top vs. my black. Now that's a mini sighting

Sounds like your MINI needs more youification to prevent this from happening again.

I concur Chuck; every MINI needs more personal touches. Other people have the same sedan or truck or SUV, but we each have our own identities. I think it's important.

In other news I had a big day of sightings yesterday. During lunch I saw two pepper white coopers on the road; one was hardtop with a ski rack ontop (thanks for the wave) and the other was a black topped convertable (no chace to wave). Those cars were seen within blocks of one another (I-25 & arapahoe road), and it was a plesant surprise.

On the way home I also crossed paths with a yellow cooper, though based on traffic and respective lanes I got no more than a glance. Day before I saw a chili red cooper near Park Meadows mall and exchanged a wave.

Ya, I've got my list, I've checked it twice, now to see if the wife thinks I've been naughty or nice.....

Here it is so in no particular order:

Amp & Speakers
Auto Up Windows
Leather Wheel Cvr
Cold Air Intake
Short Throw Shifter
Mud Flaps
Aerokit Grills
Stripes

Some of these (AUW, CAI, SS) I need to check on whether they will impact warranty. I also have on my list to buy: Bentley Manual & Paint Repair kit though they aren't youifications.

Things I have bought/done to date include: Clearbra, Tint, Multivex Mirrors, wind screen and removed the decals from the dash and sunvisors. Actually, I've also spent about $150 in Detailers Paradise also, but I didn't think you could count shine that as a youification.

So in an attempt to get the thread back (from myself) yesterday at about 3:00 PM in Boulder heading south on Broadway drove alongside a yellow tintop w/ black top and black stripes. (I was the one with the top down... )

Aww man, there goes our street cred. Now we're going to be viewed as Britney followers or such.

I guess I'll just have to lay down some rubber and smoke whomever is of said opinion on that.

oh no BS

Saw this MY/W tintop motoring around my place on Christmas Day. Have a safe New Year. Perhaps we all can get together for a late breakfast in late January?

I was thinking the Village Inn @ I25 and Hwy 7 (Brighton exit) on a Saturday. Thoughts?

Don

Don, my wife and I met with the officiant of our wedding ceremony for the first time at that very Villiage Inn. It wouldn't take any arm twisting at all to convince her to make that trip one of these Saturday mornings.

I-25 & Hwy 7 sounds good...finally in our neck of the woods! Any weekend after the 12th would work for us.

:( I take my new MINI in for her first checkup Saturday morning. I suppose if my loaner is also a MINI I could join in the fun, but realistically that's the family's first day (in two weeks ) of not having house guests, so I don't think Dad leaving the house for any extended time is in the cards. I'll definitely be interested in hearing the route for potential solo trips, however.

I got my mini 3 days ago - if I see another mini - you can count on me to wave, hoot, holler and you'll know who I am, 'cause I'll have a huge grin on my face )
Silver MC 2nd Gen 07, two black bonnet stripes, temp tag in rear window (which will soon sport my 'Actual Size' and 5280.org stickers). Sorry I'll miss the Snowball thing tomorrow, but I'll see you at the next one ...
