If I remember 2010 correctly, they have checkpoint access to the fun, not sure how they are doing the checkpoints this time around.

The do scan your registration and give you your goodie bag and id badges etc at the gate. Really not sure how they handle quests.

I needed to make a change on my registration and Rich called the contact phone number on the MTTS website (866) 707-0767 Someone did answer at 10am this morning so maybe you could check with them?

Teena -- LA!

Besides the trip west maybe we can caravan back to CO. That's the only part of the trip I haven't figured out yet, logistics. I want to coordinate with Eileen and maybe some other MTTS folks when they head back.

I'm psyched if you can make it..

I just called the MTTS registration number and the woman I spoke with said that if you want to be get into the evening event you have to register (and pay $30), even if you're not driving.

I guess I naively assumed it would be a chance to walk around and meet people and say "cool MINI" without having to pay to get in, but it's not.

So now I'm not sure if I'm going to go or not, $30 for some swag seems a little high to me.

Enjoy bagels, pastries, juice and coffee from Panera. We will be taking a group photo in the 29th Street Mall parking lot, before motoring onto the next destination.
The parking lot to park at for the Rise and Shine is the Parking lot behind Panera (not to the north, or on the 29th street itself)

There north entrance is kind of a traffic jam too since there is a Target there...

(I spent a lot of time there on my lunch hour )
The Wed. night parking is in the parking garage on the East side of the mall, park in the upper lot

Yea, I would have liked to do that as well, but $30? Not so sure anymore.

Swag, dinner, breakfast on Thursday AM, free beer (2 each), $30 might be a good investment or not.

Meet neat people, be part of the Cult of MINI, priceless!

I think a couple of our local dealers are offering some registration freebees, give them a call or stop buy *by* the dealership, hit up your favorite Sales Guy or Gal!

Do we have to pay the $30 just to go and hang out, or can we just show up and do our thing?

From what has been said, you have to pay to pass the gates to get near the food and beer, not sure if you can walk on to view the MINIs or enjoy a close in view of the band.

I suspect you can hear the music in Lyon's.

Confirming the time? Invite/website says 7 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Saw this in an email from Schomp as well as by checking the MTTS site, says the Boulder evening event is from 7 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. So unless we make the drive from Louisville in 2nd gear all the way, we might arrive a bit early.

Just passing along info - knowledge is power, after all.

Chris Chappel was saying that there will be tents setup as early as 5 pm. The MTTS MINIs are supposed to get into town around 5 pm also.

So, if you come over to Paul's Coffee Wed. night for our MINI5280 drive over, we need 45 minutes to get to the MTTS EVENT parking.

Folks can head over direct if they want.

Here is my short route link for a little MINI fun to get to the event.

http://goo.gl/maps/Egzm

So, your choice, grab a coffee/tea/iced coffee go fast if your wanting to be there before around 6:30 or go with a few MINIs.

Don

See you at 5:15 to 5:30 at Paul's, we will be gone and on the way by 5:40PM.

WOW that is quite the route to Boulder from Louisville!

I am going to try to make the pre-meeting but I am headed straight up 36 after that... I dont want to be the Jeep driving anchor that holds you guys back.

I get off work at 3:30 in Brighton so I will be cutting it close, see you guys there.

You may need a third registration, generally they have been scanning badges at the evening events. I think it only really matters for the extra potentially getting items, or if any other parties are limited in attendance (like DC was).

Called them up late last week (and again today to correct a mistake) and got everything all lined up; 3 registrations ready to enjoy the fun.

Just heard direct from MoL that the event will not be ready for people until 7 PM. So Don do you want to delay the Paul's meetup time?

Update for local MINI5280 folks who want to meet up and drive over.

Not going to worry about open at 7PM, there are many places to hang about on 29th Street. Actually have a nice Starbucks and Apple Store.

By the time we drive over, park and wander over to the blocked off street, all should be good!

So, Wed. 5:15-5:30 at Paul's Coffee in Louisville, we off driving at 5:40ish.

So, Thursday AM, meet at Paul's Coffee in Louisville, coffee up, at 6:15 to 6:30. Drive over to 29th Street for the Rise & Shine MTTS gathering.

See you there, if not, see you around 29th Street.

Don

We'll still be there for the drive; good excuse to happy hour at Laudisio's.
