July MINI5280 Monthly Meeting - 7/8 7:00 PM
OK now I know you are ALL going to laugh, so go ahead and have your fun lol... but I am deathly afraid of turtles... big, small, alligator snapping, box, sliders, snappers,
ALL TURTLES!!! I have never met anyone else who is afraid of them so I feel kind of odd (actually I feel REALLY odd lol). Mr_Bean had me take a photo with a 30 year old, 70 pound, turtle at Scales and Tails in Lakewood and in the photo I look as though I am going to the electric chair. I am trying to overcome my fears, but can't. So maybe we should first start a thread called "Someone help MrsBean overcome her fear of turtles" LOL!!!!!

A little "Tiger Roar" sensitive myself..
Mrs. Bean:
I understand, I once petted a live 14' Crockodile while getting my picture taken & still not sure I would ever do it again.
Just outside of the camera's view was a guy w/ a very big stick!
At the same place (the Crockodile Farm in Bangkok, Thailand) I had my picture taken w/ a real Bengal Tiger that was chained to the floor w/ a very heavy chain. I was the only non Asian visitor in line to touch the "giant cat" (I 1st thought it had been drugged...) & they had me put my hand between his ears.......
They took the picture a 1/10 of a second too soon.....& missed me going over backwards in an unitended back flip
as the Tiger suddenly jerked back his head let out a huge Roar!
The entire crowd got a laugh out of that! (Much more than Jsouz having me talk into a dead microphone!)
Since my 2 weiner dogs
don't play well w/ others....., I don't have a Pet Rock
on a leash.... I will bring pictures to the meeting of yet another critter of unusual type at the CF giving me a kiss on the cheek!

LMAO - MrsBean's turtles phobia is because once a while ago, a Aligator Snapping Turntle jumped at her, LMAO, like a baby that is just learning to walk couldn't get away faster than the turtle can go. LMAO
We both were at Scales & Tales in Littleton, I think that's the town, and they were showing us a adult beared dragon, we have one of those, and I heard a russling around, and at the store, thay have on the loose, in the back room, is a 70# turtle that is 30 years old. I actually got MrsBean to touch the turtle, and got a photo of her doing so, and I wish I knew how to post a pic on the text area, I would put it on here, RUBBISH !!
Someone please tell me how, cause Mrs Bean won't tell me how ............ HELP !

you do not have nightmares at all about it, those were along time ago, you are cured, I am heading out now to buy Morticia !! hehehehehe,,, you even said after the pic attached was taken, that you thought it was kinda cool, in your own words

I'd not worry about it too much Chuck. With teh promise of a ride a hand, there will be enough. And if we are few, then so be it; that's never stopped us before.
Sorry, I can't make it. I already have plans for tomorrow night. In the future I'll have to make sure not to over-book on the second Tuesday of the month. I really enjoyed last month's meeting so I'd like to attend more!
I only know the info that was put into the newsletter, even then I'm not sure exactly which roads they are; I can probably find out though. I'll get back to ya later today when I've had a chance to compare maps.
Sounds easy when written, but don't follow me!
Following it on a zoomed in version, I'm 90% familiar with the route we'll be taking. I've not driven this in its entirety, but close. I can provide pointers later this evening if you need it.
I'm ready to go now.
I'm ready to go now.
I hear ya! I have a sick little one too (baby bean has a terrible cold - darn daycare!
) so I can't make it either
