I like how you illustrated the difference between the two and I can totally relate because the original R53 style looks much better than the elongated R56-style honeycomb in my opinion.

I'm angry at myself for only buying one a couple of years ago, should have bought another for spares, I had no idea that the part was going NLA and wish we'd get headsups for when such stuff happens, ECS on NAM is good for such things as warning of low parts supply sometimes, but in this case I was caught off guard and didn't realize how few were left.

Even on the UK ebay they're fairly scarce these days...



...a real shame that so much R53 stuff is obsolete and NLA.
