That is a good looking design!

I don't think many of them made it over to North America, although I have seen a few so there is a chance someone here has one.

Curious as to added difficulty ( if any ) to accessing the oil filter housing.....

Yeah, it does look like removal would be necessary for usual topside access.

NAM'r GoodFinder had one way back in 2006 and he reported leaving it installed and removing ofh from bottomside:

As far as the oil filter access goes, we did an oil + filter change a couple weeks ago, and went to the filter from the bottom of the engine rather than the top.
