This is a OEM Mini radio that came out of my 2006 Mini Cooper S, no harmon kardon, that had 63k miles on it. It's very clean and reflects how clean the original owner kept the vehicle. It worked perfectly when i removed it. I believe this will work with all 2002 to 06 r50, r53 and 02-08 r52's ~~that dont have the harmon kardon option~~. But im not 100% sure of that so do your research before purchase.

I don't think that the head units vary between HK and non-HK, but could be wrong. I hope someone more knowledgeable chimes in.

They are the same. It will work in HK and non-HK systems. This unit has MP3 CD capability also and works well with the Dice/Audiovox Mediabridge in case anyone is wondering
