Oh yeah, I've seen them. I'm on my second R55 and second tow hitch. I just misread your original post and thought you were talking about slide-away (even though you stated pull-down). In my state I will - and have - gotten stopped when my hitch is in use and my rear plate wasn't on/viewable. I've been hanging my plate on my bike/snowboard/cargo carriers.
