The BC Coilovers are missing the dust covers in rear and the shock rate is not as good as brand new.. but not blown or leaking. Springs are in great shape. They could be sent in to BC and rebuilt or just cleaned and installed as is. They come with the rear adjustment extensions as well.
Asking $500+shipping.
I'm located in Miami Florida
By installed incorrectly, I mean that the original owner did not pre-tension the coilovers when he installed. This means he got all his ride height adjustment by compressing the spring and shock, but not adjusting the actual ride height available from the bottom of the coilover. terrible installation practice.
The result was a very stiff ride with little travel before the shock would bottom out, and the spring would be compressed.
This did not damage the springs, but it meant that the car was consistently riding with the shocks compressed.
Doing this caused the rear dust covers to wear out, which I do not think are not really important, but its up to you. The fronts still have the dust covers intact. These are new from BC for $5 each
When removed from the car, the shocks came back out, I'm just not sure how the return rate or travel length compares to brand new. I' would think that if re-installed on a car correctly, they would perform like coilovers that have been used for a while.
I don't have any guarantee, but that's why they are 1/2 the cost of the new set. Honestly, I wouldn't pay more so I'm not asking.
There are no leaks, so nothing indicates the shocks are blown. I honestly would not have removed them from the car, but I just did not have time to play around, so I swapped them out to get my car back while still investigating them.
New shock packs for each are $95 each. The front are in great shape, its only the rear that may need to be looked at.
