Selling my Akrapovic downpipe. I purchased it brand new from Way Motor Works in July for over $700. It was on the car for 3 months and 2,000 miles. Guaranteed to be in perfect condition.

I purchased my Mini used with a catless downpipe, but the exhaust was too loud for my liking, so I decided to try the Akrpovich downpipe. I still didn't like the sound, so I went back to stock.

Quick question, is the Akrapovic quieter than the catless dp?

 

Yes, the Akrapovic is definitely quieter than a catless downpipe. I know a lot of people who consider the full Akrapovic exhaust to be the perfect sound. I was initially really happy with the sound of the Akrapovic downpipe after coming from the catless. It made a noticeable difference in sound level. I think it sounds great around town. Around 2,000 RPM you can barely hear the exhaust. However, once you get much above that, you will start to notice it. The thing that I didn't like was the extra noise when cruising on the highway at around 70 MPH. It's not super loud by any means (my fiance actually said it never bothered her), but there is a constant low pitch exhaust note in the cabin. My experiences were with the full Akrapovic exhaust, and I'm somewhat sensitive to loud exhausts, so your experiences may be different.

 

Price dropped to $500. Save hundreds over buying new.
