R53 Stock shifter arm

Category: Drivetrain
Price: $0
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R53
Location (Region): Midwestern
Item Condition: Used

Hi Folks, Recently bought a used R53 in KC....Previous owner installed a bunch of aftermarket or DIY junk that is just terrible including the worst short shifter I've personally ever used. Not 100% sure he didn't just cut the stock one apart but in any case I am in search possibly of a stock Shifter arm if anyone is parting out or has one lying around.

Thanks

What style shift lug do you have?...the ridged one (style A) or the smooth one (style B)...

...just pull up on the trim ring for the boot and you can see which one your car has.

Hmmmm...can't see much from that picture. In front of the stick, does the plastic resemble either of the shifters in the illustration I posted?
The shift lug design unfortunately can't be determined by VIN, production date, etc...the factory used either/or. The only way to get the correct one is to match it with what's in the car.
If that's not possible, then you will have to just pick one and then buy the corresponding shift cables for that particular assembly...they are not interchangeable.

I have a brand new 'ridged' design shift lug still in the box that I no longer need...list price at the dealer is about $230. You can have it for $180 shipped.
Just remember, you may have to buy the corresponding shift cables if your car has the style B design.

I believe the housing for condition A is a yellowish color and the housing for condition B is black. I think you have condition B. To double check you can look under the car and see what it looks like. An image of condition A is below. If you need the corresponding parts for it let me know and I can help you.

Huh?...why tell him to look under the car when you can see what style it is right under the shift boot?
