Why are there pins at the top of the hood where the washer fluid jets would be? Also, what if I didn't want to put in extra vents where the cut outs are? Would I be able to put the removed spots back in?

The hood is from an SCCA Race Car which did not need the washer fluid jets. The vent cut-out pieces come with the hood, and need to be glued in.

Can the top pin holes be used for a place to put the washer jets? Where do those pins attach under the hood? Thanks for the help. I hit a deer with my car and this route would be much cheaper than getting it fixed. Insurance claimed it a total loss but I kept the car and its almost 2 grand to replace the hood with a standard hood.
