Not an "intake" as intakes go, it's an airbox..! Even says so on the part...

I think it would work to replace the factory airbox with some custom fitting. It may even work well to insulate the incoming air from the cowls. I don't think I would use that ridiculous 'flexible aluminum pipe' for anything other than Halloween decoration though.
