2002-2006 MINI Cooper/Cooper S Custom Rear Seat Delete Kit. I had this custom fabricated from 1 inch plywood, upholstered with auto carpet to match the black carpet offered 2002-2006.

This is great for track days or long trips where you don't need the rear seats and want more cargo space. The rear seat removes in about 15 minutes. Once removed, you can store items under the custom deck, then slide the deck in and secure with pins. Once in, it's almost perfectly flat and really opens the back up. Rear seat can be re-installed in 15 minutes and you're back to stock.

This was over $100 to build, priced at $50. Can deliver to St. Louis, MO Metro area or ship via UPS. Shipping would be around $15 due to size (only weighs a few pounds).

Nice one. Where did you buy the carpeting from?

 

I had a local shop (Color Match) match and install the carpeting for me. They did a great job!

 

Any pictures of it installed? About how much does it weigh?

 

It weighs about 5 pounds. I don't have photos of it installed, it sits flat against the seat mounting points. It looks just like this installed, except sits about 1 inch lower:
