To make a long story short... I heard a whine from the engine bay and had 75,000 miles on the car. I assumed the supercharger was bad and I bought a new supercharger. I still had the whine and it ended up being the 10$ idler pulley

I had a whine coming from under my hood and figured at 75,000 miles my supercharger had gone bad like everyone else's does at some point around there. After I pulled it off I wanted to see for myself what these bad gears looked like, I pulled the PTO cover off and it turned out they were in perfect condition and the oil was still golden. I figured it must have been the snout bearings that were bad and didn't want to take it apart. I reassembled the car and when driving I still had the whine. I darted taking it back apart and realized when I spun the idler it was grinding.
I bought the car from a 50 year old lady who had all her receipts for ever service at bmw/mini. I bought it at about 65,000 miles and somewhere within the first few thousand miles I installed a 15% pulley. I used the puller from out motoring which puts no stress on the shaft. It was removed from the car at 75,000 miles, The pto gears and the oil on that end are in perfect condition. I removed the drain plug for the snout bearings and you can see inside that the oil is also still golden and the gears look great, the front oil level is also full so the seals are not leaking and they are clean and don't show any evidence of leaking.
The only issue with the supercharger is that some of the teflon coating is worn from its milage.
Superchargers in this great condition usually get 500$ for a core or can be rebuilt for less money than normal because the gears are all still in perfect condition and those are the parts that must be manufactured because they are not sold from mini or eaton. I'm asking 500 shipped. I also have a brand new pulley from the new supercharger I purchased I can throw in if necessary. If you are getting it rebuilt the someone can reinstall it easily and safely.
