Set MINI OEM 17" R90 Wheels Mfg'd by BBS. Yes the real deal. Marked 'BBS', see pic, and 'Made in Germany'

I bought them professionally refinished in 4/11 and installed for approx 8mo's.

They were made for the special addition MC40 R53 and I had them fitted on a 07' R56 MCS with no issue

 

The MC40 came with anthracite colored wheels and a silver lip. Unless you had these repainted? Also, MC40 wheels were for the 2004, which had 12mm bolts, which wouldnt work on your R56 which has 14mm bolts. As far as I am aware, at least. Perhaps these are R90s from a 2006-ish R53, or from an R56. Still very nice, but less rare.

 

Perhaps I mispoke. These must be the version for the 2006 R53

They do fit on a R56 with no spacers, stud converters, etc, etc. I had them on my 07' for about 8mo's
