I have a snap-in adapter that works in the Countryman. It is called a "media adapter". Plays everything but video. Fits my iPhone 3GS and my wife's 4.

I quit using it since you have to take the phone out of its case each time. Music plays great and the phone sounds great.

Part number is 84 21 2 218 391 01. Even has a built-in fan to keep the phone cool.
