Meets last only so long...and people get tired of it.

You have to do things like meet and then drive around...that's why we have MINIs...you can't park at the same place and expect people to meet you there each week...it doesn't work.

You know my cars don't make it past 65K miles on it.

 

Going to meets facilitates meeting fellow miniacs to go on meet/drives with.

Hi everyone. My husband and I are interested in Mini meets. Please advise I'm in Bergen county also. I know VW has waterfest in englishtown, so we should have one also.

 

I think we have a few key steps. We need to find a good driving road in central jersey so everyone has a fair drive. Two, needs to be near good food. Three, we need some way of letting as many people know as possible.

I think a mini beach day would be awesome. This summer is likely too late to get something waterfest or wicked big meet (subaru), or bimmerfest sized, but we can def get something going. Maybe we piggyback off of bimmerfest, theyre like cousins to minis anyway.

 

How about a Bear Mountain drive sometime this fall?

 

Never been out that way. Good driving roads?

We could all go to Chatterbox on the way back down from the looks of it.

Last time I heard from you...I never heard.

 

I have a 2013 JCW, I ride bike too. Most of the time the cops are there for the Bikers. I down for a meet. Thursday and Sunday nights great at Starbucks in Edgewater!

 

I believe the edgewater meets still happen either winds day night or Thursday night. I'd be down i'm coming out of North bergen.

Well let's throw something out there and start.

 

New to new jersey would be really interested in the mini meets hopefully once the weather gets a little warmer we can set some up

 

We used to meet up at hooters lot in Wayne. Nice big lot and good wings and beer.

 

OK so how about this once it gets warmer and I mean warm enough to stand outside with a t-shirt we meet in edgewater then drive to Wayne for wings and beer. I choose edgewater just to meet and gtfo then drive to wayne. Everyone knows about edgewater.

 

Also I guess we can get a list or something to see who is down so we can organize a day and such. I can imagine being the only one who shows up haha.

 

If you go two threads down...there is a run happening in NJ on the 13 Apr 14...you can meet somewhere and drive down together...just a thought.
