Animal, there doesn't seem to be much interest/demand, so I've given up.

 

There's gonna be a bunch of Minis getting together on the 27th for the Dubrun I posted up here. A good time to get some Miniacs talking.

 

Do we really need an "official" club??? There are plenty of meets and get togethers posted here and other forums, everyone has a great time with no formalities. One reason I don't join a "club" is i'm not going to pay membership fees such as Philly Mini club requires just to hang out with fellow MINI owners and have a good time.

I'm moving to Union in a couple weeks (from North Carolina). I have to say, having a more "formal" club like TarHeelMinis has been great. I'd definitely be interested in getting something together.

 

The PhillyMINI monthly dinner will be in NJ on Nov 14th if interested. No club membership required, but please use the RSVP so we can make the reservation with the restaurant.

Thanks! I'm hoping there's interest. In total - a whole three members thus far! LOL

I have a few other logo ideas, so I need to get that nailed down. Then I'm having some postcards printed that we can distribute. Maybe anytime you see a MINI in a parking lot or whatever, park by them - and stick a postcard under the wipers. I dunno - just something to get the word out.

BTW, I'm not getting a lot of 'waves' or light flashes up here. Anytime we passed MINIs down in NC, always got a wave or something. Anyone else notice this in Jersey?

 

You may want to go with NJMO or other variations...might have to get permission to use MONJ (Original Founders of the club moved to NY).

 

It's very rare for me to get a wave back. I think most people are buying them for their fuel efficiency not coolness. I bought mine just because I thought it looked great and drove even better.

 

I am 100% in if something gets going specially in the monmouth county region. I am available to assist or help in any way possible.

You know what I need the most help on right away? Someone who really understands PHPBB forum software really well. I haven't really had a chance to learn all the permissions stuff. It's weird, but for some reason, some people can't post without me "approving" it. Some forums show up without being logged in (as desired) others don't show up until you log in. Weird. If anyone can help - let me know!

 

Under Misc. in ACP, Permissions, Forum Permissions, make sure, "Can Post without Approval" is set to "Yes"
