MINIs Do Coffee Meet ...
Is this tomorrow night, I may be able to swing through..... I'm trying to check out Edgewater, apparently there is a pretty big meet Thursday nights there, filling the whole parking lot "Where Target is". Has anyone checked it out before...
Hey PortMCS, do you work in Jersey City, I think I keep passing your mini parked on the street just off of 440 when I'm heading to Journal Sq.
It;s gotta be you since the car is rockin' some HRE's...

It's the BIG parking lot in the middle of the map. On one side is a Target and on the other side are various stores. At the end of the pier is a Legal Seafood. I did a little googling and found a blog entry on the meet. It seems like things could get roudy and the cops are all too happy to hand you a citation for the smallest infraction.
I usually go to the Japanese supermarket located between the driving range and the Hess facility. The ramen noodle stands in the food court is DA BOMB
.
I've heard that there has been some cop presence there, I'm still curious to check it out, I go to mitsuha all the time for their ramen, it's by far the best ramen in the area, been going there for years now.... Probably this weekend again, I was there sunday as well..

I believe it's here: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie...09613&t=h&z=17

Thats the weekly VW/Audi GTG, a bunch of people I know go every week, don't know how hospitable they are towards non VAG cars they are though.
Even if I'm running some BBS RS wheels
I've heard though that there is everything from classics to exotics there...

Hey guys... about the Edgewater meet.. No it is NOT all VW-Audi there... its mostly bikes and import cars, few american muscle. I actually went last min last thurs, we were there about 20min then it started down-pouring so we left alonf with everyone else. But the lot was PACKED with everything from Bmw's, porsches, the Honda fart-can crowd, bikes etc etc. My advice would be to gete there early (we got there about 10pm and it was already packed) so next time i go, im thinkin about 9pm-ish will be good. I wasnt planning on going this week as they say it may rain again, which is why im plannin a Linden Starbucks meet this week instead.
See you guys tommorrow nite @ about 6;30pm

Dan, here's the pic of the head unit I was tellin' ya about:

It was standard on the Works GP and the late model Carbrios...2007-2008 I think. Functionality-wise it's the same. The one major difference I see is the CD eject button. I believe you press both < &> at the same time.
Another reason to get the 2005 and up headunit is, it can play mp3 CDs.

Interesting. Maybe yours is a late 2004 build and got the 2005 headunit?
