one suggestion.

There is a Euro car meet somewhere at Rutgers (not the newark location, is it Brunswick ??? ) every wednesday nite at one of thier parking lots. Ive been meaning to go for awhile, but was actually waiting for the weather to get warmer. Maybe we can do that ?

OR, we can do a Coffee meet somewhere in the mid-NJ area ? I really cant suggest anything in the mid or south NJ area , as im new to NJ and dont know this state all that well. I only know the coffee shops around Union-Newark etc

Let's Make It Official!!!

every wednesday...sounds good...i am gonna talk to somebody about at Rutgers, i have a couple friends that go there...who don't have minis...maybe they....or somebody on this forum can tell us where to go...i would def be up for that...

i think i am gonna stil try and put something together for Paramus, NJ...i think we could get a good turnout, if it was done in advance enough, and posted on the couple different sites...nemini.org and craigslist.

i thought about it last night and gonna make something official.

should i start a new thread? if somebody gets to it before me....feel free to copy and paste....

Also, we could all just meet there, and then head over to a starbucks or a dunkin donuts (there are plenty around) if thats what everybody is up to and not looking for dinner.

Panera Bread
165 Rt 4 West
Paramus, NJ 07652
(201) 368-0752

7:30pm Saturday, March 8th

Its in a strip mall off Rt 4 West, there is also a Khols there, the official name of the strip mall is called Paramus Place. I believe it is directly across from the the bergen mall (which they are doing construction on)

Meet near Side entrance
(around the left side from the front entrance
against the far wall - you'll know when you see it)

Panera has a great parking lot on the side for us to meet, its sorta outta the way, very level, and we won't get bothered there, most people park in the main area of the lot, or in the front.

Food wise they have a good selection of sandwiches, salads, soups, pizza, pastries and bagels, coffee, tea, and even Espresso.

WHO'S IN??

OK, I just wanna confirm the location. Is this it? http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...=17&iwloc=addr

Lot looks kinda tight. But I trust your judgement. Does it get crowded on the weekends? I guess if it gets tight, we can all park on the NW corner.

Oh, did you make it to the Prestige last Saturday? I was there from 11am to about noon. It was kinda lame compared to their last year's R56 launch event. At least I got a poster and a antenna ball out of it

panera lot

yea i did make it to prestige for about 20 mins....it was really lame...i don't know about last year...but i did have to pick up something down at morristown mini....and they had a "DJ" there loud music, place was hoppin'...

as far as the lot...i think you might be judging it just on the picture? if so.....i think thats a picture from "whenever" before they redid it..but you can't miss it...its a strip mall with the khols....when it gets closer..i can always PM you with my cell...

since i got off early today (snow)...i had some free time on my hands...here is the pdf....i just think the map is old.

Thanks for the correction. I see, it's on the other side of rt.17. Google maps seems to be off

Might be good to hook up with the local BWM club at some point. They will be meeting monthly at their autocrosses and there were a few Mini owners there when I was over there in November. First meeting at Commerce Bank Ballpark isn't until May 4 though.

So lets plan something locally for Somerset county for some time in March. Maybe a St Patrick's Day event would be a good kickoff to attract people.

Russr, Shokk & Co., I'm out of town for a bit next little while. For me, I'd say sometime in late April to early May at the Rutgers Euro meet some evening mid-week? They also have car shows in Somerville and Flemington during the week, beginning May-June, I think. Surf Taco in Jackson is a long way, but if far enough in advance, maybe it's doable to plan for me. Weekends are nearly impossible.

Anyone here going to MOTD '08 or the big MINI USA thing w/ a stop in Boston in May or June? (See MF site for details.)

PS Sorry I couldn't make the last GTG. It was a quite a storm that night in my area.

i'm in for a GTG, the panera bread on rt 4 works, can just come backroads to avoid all that fun filled rt 17 and rt 4 traffic. There are also tons of parks and things in the area for when it gets warmer.

Surf Taco is a long ways off for me, but I might make it one time in the summer. The Euro meet sounds cool, but mid-week is tough for me. Thanks for reminding me about the Somerville car chows - isn't Cruise Night on Fridays?

I stopped in at the GTG @ the Panera on Rt 4 and got to meet Adam. It was really stormy that night, so we almost didn't go, but glad we did. Then we got to stop off at that furniture wonderland Ikea. =) To do one in our area (Somerville?) we'll want to wait for that warmer weather. Are weekends out of the question? This could be the start of the Mid-Jersey Minis group!
