since it has been pretty quiet lately in here, i may just entertain everyone a little bit. some of the members knew about this joke, but i dont think everyone knows.

Oh! bmw? Never heard about this model, and it does not look like a BMW at all.

It blows me away that a car that has been around for about three years now is still so unknown. They put on major ad campaigns, billboards, commericials, magazine ads, etc. When I was trying to sell my last car they asked why, I told them that I got a new car. "A what...what's a MINI...who makes it...really...I've never heard of it." You have to be freakin kidding me on this one, seriously! It wouldn't be shocked it a person suffering from agoraphobia has heard of them. They are all over the place, at least where I live. Some people! At least this helps keep the demand lower than it could be, I guess. It's funny, I still get people who stare it my car, like it's the first one they've ever seen. Or, maybe they just think it's the best look car around, and for once I would understand what they were thinking.

 

Not a joke but strange enough to be funny...

I was driving down the road about 2 months ago and (long story short) a girl in a Saturn shot right out in front of me from behind a car that had motioned her to enter traffic although she couldn't see. I slammed on my (wonderful) brakes, but, with less than 20 feet between us, it was not going to go down good. We collided.......hard......my front passenger side corner and her front driver's side bumper corner. Both of my air bags deploy. It was a nice day so she and I both had our windows down. So as she pulls herself upright from the impact and I'm sitting there with air bag smoke swirling about, she looks out her window at me and says,
"What kind of car is that anyway?" To which I replied, "It's a MINI".........."Who makes it"..........."BMW".........and so the conversation went...just as it always does.
