servicing '03 MCS

My wife bought our mini used, out of state, and it's obviously not under warranty. It only has about 50K miles, and so far has been very reliable. We live in Waxhaw, and I work in SW Charlotte (West Tyvola area). Any recommendations on where to take the car for routine service/repair/mods (which my wife really isn't agreeable to right now)? We've been to a local mechanic in Waxhaw, who didn't impress my wife, so we need to find someone new.

Thanks for any advice!

For regular oil services I generally use Hendrick MINI. For mods and repairs most people use Dan at Grassroots Garage. He does excellent work but is not local, a trip to Thomasville is required.

Thanks for the recommendations! I wish Hendrick Mini was as convenient to my commute as Hendrick Honda is! (E. Independence is never convenient for me...)

Has anyone used or heard anything about Autohaus of Union? They are in Waxhaw, where I live, and I've heard good and bad things...but only from a couple of people, so nothing I can count on.

Thomasville is not to far to drive too. I take mine there for oil changes and service and have for years. Call and make appointment and he is certified Mini mechanic and does it for alot less than the dealership. Also its good excuse to stop in Lexington at any of the hundreds of BBQ's places for some good ole southern BBQ. Dan has done a fine job for everyone and I have never heard anyone complain about his work, or prices!
