Trace & Bob let us know if your going to be able to go with us. We really hope so, but your Mom comes first. You got to take care of your Mom.

 

It all depends if she comes home or not. She was transferred today to Carolinas Rehabilitation to get her strong enough so when the surgery date is scheduled she will be stronger. Its 5 weeks tomorrow and she hasn't been out of the bed. We need to get her out and walking again. She will probably stay there until surgery. I will know more in a couple of days.

 

We're still going down Thursday but a slight change in plans. I bought a Jeep from a guy in Orlando and my mother bought my father a 2000 Prowler (with less than 6K miles) on it for him.

He went to the doctor and they said that the cancer has doubled in size in 3 months.

I don't think he'll make it till Xmas so she bought him this car and I'm going to drive it to where they live (just above Tampa) and spend the night there.

We'll see all you guys Saturday I guess.

The only cool thing is they were building a summer home in the Tenn. mountains and left last night to close the paperwork. They'll be gone for two weeks and the car will be sitting in his garage.

I'd love to see the look on his face when he sees this BRIGHT yellow prowler in his garage.

Mark that sounds great! I know he will enjoy that. I am going to Anna Marie Island, Holmes Beach and Bradenton, Sarasota and wednesday hope to be in Tampa and heading to Orlando Thursday. Got alot of relatives that I haven't seen in several years.

Janet and I hope that you all have a safe trip and a great time; wish that we could be with you, butt minor surgery has a way of stopping the fun stuff!

Ok. Looks like we may go. What's everyone's travel plans? Who is leaving when.... I will be driving by myself and Bob is flying into Orlando on Thursday night.

I am leaving Thursday morning. If you want to hook up that would be great. I am not sure when everyone else is going except for John [? and lady G] -- however, I am getting the Boo and this run mixed up. Luke is going down early. I think Cathy and Bruce's plans depend upon her recovery. I think Ruff may want to motor down on Thursday too, but I am not sure -- I think David is leaving Friday? Hope things are getting better, you guys are in our prayers and thoughts. Can't wait to see you. Let me know.

Hey my other daughter,

I'm so excited y'all are coming. I am heading down I-26 Thursday morning....will probably meet up with Carol and David just south of Columbia at the same rest stop we hit on the way to Miami. I'm hoping to get an early start....but Floyd is a sleeping bear in the am. I certainly hope your mom is recovering from all of her trauma.

 

We'll be leaving Thursday morning also. Where is everyone meeting?

Woohoo almost time...
We are meeting up with Floyd and Sharon.. Doc? What was that exit we all met at to go to Miami. We could all meet up there, and head that way. David and I are leavin together as his time was approved. We are planning Thurs. The time.. Sharon will have to post, as its all up to when Floyd is up and ready to motor!! Hopefully by tonight we can have the leave time in cement.

 

The people from the Charlotte area are meeting at I-77 and exit 79A Rock Hill S.C. at the Texaco Station on the right when you get off the exit to the right at 4:45 am Thursday and leaving at 5:00 am please let someone know if you planning on meeting us there so no one gets left behind See you there Bruce and Cathy

 

There's no way I'll be able to get Floyd roused as early as you guys in Charlotte! So we're looking at leaving at 7:30 AM from Hendersonville and will meet whoever wants a bit later start at the rest area around 10AM (it's approximately 2 1/2 hours from here). Hope that suits. There's an outside chance we would make it to Orlando in time for the dinner...depending on whether we have to wait on line for gas along the way. The gas lines here (at stations that actually have gas) are reminiscent of the 1970s!

 

If you are leaving at 7:30am - I think you may beat me to the hotel . I'm sure you'll be there in time for dinner. Hope to see you all soon!!!

 

We'd love to ride down with you guys but I don't care what traffic I have to fight, I ain't in that much of a hurry to get to FL that I have to leave at 5am....

Hope ya'll have a safe trip, we'll catch up everyone later. We're going to drop off the Prowler in Tampa Thursday night, spend Friday taking the girls to Islands of Adventure and we'll cya'll Saturday morning.

Sharon, and for anyone else who is meeting later.. we will meet at I-26 rest area just past the I 77 interchange mile marker 122 before you get to 123, meeting at 930 am to leave by 10 am! Which should get us to Orlando around 6, depending on how often we stop.

Be safe everyone... if you see a laser blue mini and yellow prowler on the side of the road.... the prowler probably ran out of gas.

I'm concerned about gas since the Prowler has a 10-12 gallon tank and only gets 19mpg on the highway. I'm leaving tomorrow with only 3/4's of a tank. (EVERY station around here is out of gas)

I'm hoping that if I can make it past Columbia, we'll be okay.
