Time for a new Mini project over on my youtube channel. Lots of 1st gen content coming in 2025. Inspired by the CluB53 Alps trip last year, I cant wait to get going on this and hopefully I can take it along to a future one. Big thanks to Orranje Performance and RKDE for helping make this happen.

Finally got around to removing the engine from the supremely rush donor R53, its a bit mucky but nothing a quick wont sort for now. If the engine proves to be good then it will get a proper clean but this stops me ending up black everytime I touch it:

So I finally got around to stripping the engine apart and all is looking good, well not as bad as I first thought. It turns by hand and doesnt seem to be any play in the lower half of the engine. The coolant pipes are most definitely full of much, so it all needs a good flush but I'm hoping a rebuild isnt needed from what I can see. It will get all new gaskets etc and I have plenty of mods to go onto it once I am happy with it:
