Supercharged r50 engine

Because it's waaaaay cheaper to buy a complete engine from an r50, sans SC, I was wondering how easy it would be to SC the r50's engine. I already have an r53, not talking about charging an r50, just it's engine.

I want to build the engine, slap on an improved(over stock) SC, then drop it into an r53.

Thoughts?

Eventually want to twin charge the little bast4rd. Don't care about money

Not really a good idea!!!

W10 engine has higher compression and smaller crank journals, no oil squirters for the pistons... the list goes on!!! better to start with the W11 block.
The W11 crank is already a weak link.

You don't care about money but want to save money by choosing an engine designed for natural aspiration rather than one built for boost? Uh, ok.
FWIW, several iterations of twin charging out there from the mid 2000's. Never saw one that didn't have myriad issues.

Could you explain the issue with the w11 crank?

Was just curious. I can get a salvaged r50 engine locally, just wanted it for it's block. I wasn't sure of the changes mini made between the models. 1qwkmini says the block won't work, so maybe I'll just have to ship one

W11 cranks tend to crack when HP is added. Most people who race them end up with a billet crack at one point or another.
