I decided to join this site because of information I found in a forum here, via Google. I had started thinking last year about getting a Mini convertible this spring, and then on a lark applied in October to take part in the MINI E field trial. Since getting selected a few weeks ago, I have been doing some research on various issues relating to taking part. The thread I found last night was the result of doing some kind of search about the MINI E wall charging box: I learned little about the wall box (no field trial participant had been told much more about it other than expect a call), but I did learn a lot about a possible tax credit.

I was struck in looking at this site that there does not seem to be a forum expressly for the MINI E. Since there will be 500 field trial participants soon, and some are already members of this site, I would think that NorthAmericanMotoring.com would have created a specific forum for those users. It would sure be helpful to them, and I suspect better to not mix MINI E concerns with those concerning gasoline MINIs...

Congratulations Tim! Sounds cool. I'm sure there will plenty of us gas MINI folks that will be really curious to hear how these work out for you. Good luck with it--hope it's as much fun as the gas models!
