Sympathy for the bay area motorers.

I hope your communte does not include the bay bridge-that looks like it's going to be nasty for several months.

This is going to be tough for a while. I don't go there often except to get to the Oakland Airport. I may just switch to SF for a while

You could also go down 680 to San Jose- kind of the back way around. No toll on the south bound lane for the bridge (Richmond?)

correction it's the San Mateo bridge I was thinking of-thanks Gromit. The inbound lanes of the Richmond are the ones with the toll. NPR just mentioned that the problem wasn't as bad as expected-i was thinking, "that's becuase it will effect the out bound traffic this afternoon much more than the in bound.

I saw the Governator made all the mass transit free today-hope that continues for a while!

Plenty of ways to get in and out of SF (including BART).

It only affects coming out of SF and heading south, or coming from the south and wanting to go to SF.

Still have the Richmond Bridge (to the north) and the San Mateo Bridge (to the south).

It also affects 580 south going and 880 to Oakland airport and Alameda. This is a big mess
