Octane in Omaha

I've found just a few gas stations with 92 octane, but wanted to see if anyone has found someone selling 93 in the Omaha area?

.

Who is selling 92?

All I can find is 91. I recently moved to Omaha from Alabama, where everyone sold 93. Besides the Mini, I have a very high compression Cadillac tuned for 93, it sure would be nice to find some higher octane at the pump.

There is a BP station at 90th & Fort, and a Bucky's at 102nd & Maple that both have 92. It seems most of the new gas stations going up have 92, but I have yet to find 93 in town.

We have 93 in Kearney at the Valero station on the corner of 2nd Ave and 17th Street. You may check out the Valero in Omaha 2604 13th Street.
There is also one in Council Bluffs 3609 9th Ave.
Just doing my part to assist from out here in the middle of nowhere.

They have 93, 95, 100 octane at Frontier Harley in Lincoln. The pumps are open 24 hours as long as you have a credit card.

That's good news, and it's right off of I80 so I can grab some either on my way out or back from Denver. (at least once a month)

you can also get higher (racing) octane fuels at Nebraska Iowa Supply off of Grover St. between 72nd and 60th. I think the address is actually on 66th St.

Great Post!

I did the google map thing on a couple of these cause I didn't recognize the names.

The Valero station in Omaha is on 13th and Vinton, I think on the west side of the street, just north of Vinton. I'll give this a scout this week and report back.

The other Valero is just off I-29 at the 9th Street Exit in Council Tucky. Make a right as you get off, and another fast right into the station. Wait, the second fast right, that first one is to a bar or motel. Ok, there's a huge sign for Days Inn at the exit, ya can't miss it. I was just there a couple weeks ago, at the bar, so I saw the station.

Ok, Valero information is outdated, they only have 91 octane, and I haven't made it to the station in CB yet.

Glad this thread got revived.
I will say that Nebraska 91 absolutely sucks. All of our Subaru club members know this, we have to go easy on the tunes otherwise there will be knock. Personally I am still working on getting a good tune dialed in with absolutely no knock. 92-octane gas stations were really prevalent until not long ago, then they started dwindling down and now are virtually impossible to find, at least in Lincoln.

Sithor, Frontier Harley, as in the Harley-Davidson dealership? Your post is almost a year old but I'm going to go there and give it a shot, see if they still have it.

I will say that if you guys are running on the stock tune/car, it's most likely not worth the hassle to hunt down stations that carry over 91-octane, unless you've datalogged the car and it is knocking bad, running crappy, etc.

Later edit:
Frontier Harley gas prices. Ouch
91-Octane $2.84
95-Octane $4.39
100-Octane $6.59

While in Omaha on December 4th 2010 we stopped for fuel at Fantasy's gas station on Maple out by the new Harley Davidson store. I found 93 octane gas!! It's either Texaco or Phillip's 66 gasoline...but it's 93 octane!! No ethanol in it either. It's pricey, but we felt the difference right away.

We'll check some of the other Fantasy's around Omaha to see if they all do and post results.

Enjoy!

I have been looking for a good octane in the Omaha area. I know that this post is a little old but with what and where are all of you fueling up?

Thanks

We run the high octane fuel at Fantasy's gas stations in Omaha. Out of Omaha we find BP stations and run their high grade fuel.

Thanks! Do they have that on all the pumps or just one at each station? What is the octane and does it have ethanol?

I think BP's fuel is just fuel. I believe Fantasy's is ethanol blended.

I don't follow the owners manual...I follow what feels right while I'm in the drivers seat. 150K+ mileage, stock motor...with a few mods.

Mini-LSE,

Given the year of your MINI I'd stick with the recommended fuel. The high pressure fuel pumps can be finicky. I use whatever non-ethanol, 91 octane I run across.

If you MUST go with a lower octane fuel then, at least, try to find an ethanol-free version. Look at www.pure-gas.org for a location near you.

As for Omaha - land of ethanol - here are stations listed to date:
Omaha BP 85 91 Buchanan Bp 7911 W Dodge Rd N41.26015 W96.03841
Omaha BP 87 91 Bucky's Express #44 14404 Stony Brook Blvd. N41.19814 W96.13887
Omaha BP 87 91 Bucky's Express #60 6003 Center St N41.23765 W96.00521
Omaha BP 87 91 Bucky's Express # 96 9645 Ida St N41.32099 W96.06246
Omaha UNBRANDED 91 Cubby's 9220 Mormon Bridge Rd N41.34329 W95.98303
Omaha SAM'S CLUB 87 91 Sam's Club 13130 L St N41.21226 W96.11894

At least mine, I just get the cheapest gas. Probably because mine is not the S model. I was originally putting in the higher octane when I first purchased Lil Devil, but after seeing what was recommended in the owners manual, I switched to the cheapest ethanol and have been running it for about the past 4 years and never saw any difference in performance or any major gas mileage change. So at least for me it works...
