Hi all! I am about to order a MC. I am have a hard time choosing between Oxygen blue and Chili Red. What do you all suggest? Which paint would remain fresh longer? I am afraid they would get oxidized. I also thought about Yellow too. Too bad it's not bright yellow...

 

Go for the classic chili red

 

Go for the C/R, you cant go wrong.

 

OK, I'm going to go unconventional and say Oxy Blue. From the photos I've seen it's a striking color, and you'll really stand out in a crowd since CR's are ubiquitous. But that's just me, I like to be different!

 

Oxygen blue is nice with black - and different. :-)

 

I was faced with the same dilemma......OB or CR. I went with OB/W. Both are classic MINI colors (OB = Island Blue) both will hold up fine. In the end, I chose OB because I'm a "blue person", but mainly because OB is a Cooper-only color and so there will not be tons of them on the road.

 

For the MC, I'd look at NF red instead of Chili red. Might as well get an "exclusive" color. I'd pick the NFR over OB.

I wish it was available for the S.

 

There is a reason why you see more CR minis out there: it looks better! You cannot go wrong with a CR mini!

Well, I have CHILLI red/black & love it. From the pics I've seen though, Oxygen Blue is a very cool colour - I would certainly consider it in the future.

 

I had the same decision to make and went with OB/W. I love it, but I still covet the CR/W. Whenever I see one it just looks so beautiful. I know, I'm no help. I will say that I'm not sorry I went with OB/W, though. Here's a picture.

 

What ever makes your smile the biggest, for me it is the Chili Red w/ Black

Foursea, though it may be too late (seeing as you already made a decision in favor of CR) I will offer my .02 for your consideration.

There's nothing wrong with CR, in fact CR/W on a MINI is the classic look and it looks very sharp, but in my opinion overdone.

gokart, has a better handle on things and I agree wholeheartedly with him in saying that Oxy-Blue will not be as prevalent on the roads and therefore, if you are looking for something unique, I'd go with the Oxy-Blue Cooper. Add a white or black roof and you'll have one handsome MC!

Whatever you choose, it's a MINI and it will make you happy! Enjoy.
