First of all, by way of introduction - I've had my MINI for about a year and a half and still have yet to join the Chicago MINI Motoring Club. I work on Sundays so I miss most of the events. I keep saying I'll get to something and join soon...

I'm going to do the Autobahn event through Bill Jacobs and need to buy a helmet. Does anyone have a good place to go in the Chicago area to do that?

Also motorcycle helmets will work just fine.

 

I got mine on Ebay and saved over $100.00 bucks! Visit a local shop to get the size you need then watch ebay for NEW helmets.

 

Designed for a far different type of impact, I highly reccomend making sure you have an SA rated helment if you are doing any in car activity. (Some moto helments are; but not all)

 

Yes - they've specified that it has to be an SA rated helmet.

 

just a thought, but when i used to ride www.newenough.com supplied me with most of my gear. rock bottom prices on helmets... but for bikes. depends what you want it for i guess.

hjc will prolly work good enuf. mine is snell and dot approved.
